Be Secure
Make your online travel reservations only through reputable and secure booking websites, with DoubleSecure authentication
Check your card to make sure it is valid. If your card is expiring before you travel and you have not received your renewal card, please call the Emirates NBD helpline on +971 600 54 0000
Save the Emirates NBD helpline number on your mobile or keep it handy in a safe place separate from your physical card
Set unique PIN for your cards and avoid using birth or anniversary year. Consider changing your PIN periodically.
Always remain alert for any SMS or calls from the Bank regarding your transactions or balance in your account.
Be Aware
If the merchant is offering you an option to pay in AED instead of local currency, while this might seem like a better choice especially because you can see the total price in your currency, you might actually be paying more.
Some merchants may read your CHIP card and ask you to sign the charge slip instead of entering PIN. This is also an accepted practice by Visa/MasterCard (specific to few regions)
Call +971 600 54 0000 if your card is lost or stolen so we can block it immediately. Please remember Emirates NBD will never request you to disclose your personal or financial information through email/call
If you notice “SIM not registered” message on your mobile phone, contact your telecom provider & check for SIM replacement – you may be a victim of identity theft
If you suspect any suspicious transactions, or your card is damaged, you may temporarily or permanently block your card and request for a replacement easily through our Mobile Banking App.
Be Responsible
Don't share and disclose your PIN to anyone. Keep sales slips as proof of purchase for customs or in case of a dispute, and for reconciling your account when you get home
Keep your registered mobile number active even when you travel abroad to ensure you receive SMS alerts for every transaction on your card. Register for e-Statements to track your billing
Access Emirates NBD Mobile App / Online banking to keep track of your recent transactions and report any un-authorized transactions immediately
Set up Direct Debit to take care of any payments due while you're away. Make sure you are registered for our Mobile/Online Banking to get access to over 28 different payment partners
